Wwe fastlane 2017 live stream4/28/2023 Nope, Big Show came out to face the Bulgarian Brute. They didn't split up these impromptu singles matches that way. Big Show Oddly enough, Sheamus didn't go on to face Rusev. Which was the real story no one cared about. Jinder, which served to give people Cesaro in action while also playing up the rift between Rusev and Mahal. Because apparently this PPV is being run like a middle school talent show in a snow storm and there was just a big empty space in the middle for something to happen to someone somewhere. Jinder Mahal So during the kickoff show, Foley told Rusev and Jinder Mahal there'd be singles matches for them. What matters here, at Fastlane, is if Bayley can end Charlotte's PPV streak thingamabob. None of this will matter by 'Mania though since it'll be a Fatal Fourway of some sort. After getting rag-dolled for most of the match, and fighting back against Nia like Ant-Man scampering around on someone's shoulders, Sasha gets re-elevated back up into the title scene while Nia takes a tumble. Nia Jax In a MUCH better showing than the kickoff squash match from the Royal Rumble (even if Sasha had lost this one it'd have been a better showing), the Boss got a win over Nia using a reverse rollup (with a bridge). Winners, and still RAW Tag Team Champions: Anderson and Gallows There's not enough patience in place to run with something like that these days. Then when they finally win it'll be gigantic. They never won down in NXT and there's a cool story here if they really paint Enzo and Cass as guys who always falter when it matters. Do we even want them as champs though? I feel like there's a better story here if they go on longer, a year longer or even more, not winning the gold. It's bigger to have those two win AT 'Mania, if the plan is to put the belts on them. This is about who's going into 'Mania as champs and who's walking out as champs. ![]() I don't think anyone truly expected them to. No, Enzo and Big Cass didn't win the gold here. A few weeks ago, Cesaro nearly decapitated him with a Eurocut trying to do this. Enzo Amore & Big Cass I've come to really love the mid-match shut down of an Enzo tag leap. Winner: Samoa Joe Raw Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. ![]() ![]() And yes, there was something really damn cool about seeing Joe on his first ever official WWE PPV. Joe likes to punch, Sami tends to get punched a lot - it all worked out in the end. And who knew? Maybe he'd eke out a quick rollup win and ruin Joe's debut momentum? Or maybe Finn Balor would show up and attack one or both of them? Nah, it was just a clean Coquina Clutch win for Joe, which is what he needed as he continues his top-bills path as a RAW-brand destroyer. Samoa Joe We knew Zayn would lose this one, but we also knew it'd be a fun match and that Sami would get a couple fiery comebacks. Winners: Akira Tozawa and Rich Swann Sami Zayn vs. If he did, it would almost step on Neville's toes a bit. Side note: What's with the Austin Aries video hype packages they've been running lately? He's been on commentary for months now and there hasn't been an inkling of him entering the cruiserweight scene. That being said, this was sort of a flat entry for Tozawa who's the "new face" to the main roster cruisers. This holds especially true given that Swann pinned Dar when it's Tozawa and Kendrick who were the two with an actual feud brewing. Like most WWE cruiserweight matches, unfortunately, it didn't matter who won or lost here. ![]() The Brian Kendrick & Noam Dar (Kickoff Match) Four very talented guys got in the ring for a high energy kickoff match that was more or less a disposable affair. Does Goldberg possibly winning the belt mean that Lesnar takes it at 'Mania and we get Brock as champ once again? Or does Goldberg retain against Lesnar and keep running with it? OR, will Owens somehow manage to squeak past Goldberg and defend his strap against Jericho? There are endless (okay, like three or four) possibilities here! Strap yourselves in for a Sunday night full of flagship show fight as I live-blog everything here and live-tweet things over at Roman Reigns will go up against the "monster among men" Braun Strowman, Charlotte will look to keep her PPV streak going as she challenges for Bayley's RAW Women's Championship, Samoa Joe will make his main roster PPV debut in a bout against Sami Zayn, and more!
